| 129 | Miner, Henry | 751 | My George of the Jungle Bucket is a predominantly red colored plant mix with fillers such as Mega Cool Scarlet Begonias, Spectra Bright Red New Guinea Impatiens, and Vista Red Salvias. As somewhat of a spiller, but also a filler, I also made the unique choice of a Sago Palm tree. Towering over the rest of the bucket and standing in the center, I chose the thriller of a Pineapple Guava tree. The two trees were intentionally chosen to contrast their two heights, spread, and leaf types, while also acting as a nice break from the red of the rest of the bucket, which serves as a nice background for the display of these two beauties. | Blue | Palo Alto | Plants and Things | ||

| 139 | Thoren, Elizabeth | 959 | My George of the Jungle Bucket is a personally themed bucket of my favorite color: purple. The plants I chose to form this assortment of one of Earth’s prettiest colors are the Inchplant, the Echeveria ‘perle von Nernburg,’ and two types of Garden Petunias. The main attraction of this purple wonderland is the Inchplant with its muted purples and forest greens. The Inchplant towers in the center of the bucket and expands on top of the soil in order to demonstrate its dominance. The Echeveria ‘perle von Nurnberg’ are the two succulents, and their purpose is to ensure that the brown of the soil does not interfere with the royal themes of this bucket. The final piece in ensuring this bucket’s strictness to color remains are the Garden Petunias, which drape over the side of the bucket since the Inchplant does not provide much space for the pretty petunias to live in. However, their presence is certainly required, for their different shades of violet provide variety, layers, and chaos into the bucket which represents the monarchy. | Red | Palo Alto | Plants and Things | ||
